62nd Zlín Film Festival Again with FHS Participation
8. July 2022Entertainment and educational activities and workshops that enriched this year’s festival programme were organised by students from the Institute of School Pedagogy and the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences, in cooperation with lecturers. Students from the Institute of Health Sciences traditionally took care of the health and wellbeing of festival participants.
During the first two days of the festival, the faculty offered an educational programme aptly titled Around the World – Learning About and Respecting Other Cultures. The activities, prepared by students of the Social Pedagogy study programme, aimed to introduce pupils to different cultures and their distinct features in a fun and engaging way. In the afternoon, festival visitors could enjoy an adventurous journey in Komenský Park. On the following days, schoolchildren, accompanied by students from the Institute of School Pedagogy, embarked on a Journey to the Past with Tomáš the Shoemaker’s Apprentice. With the help of a time machine, they travelled back in time to experience the lives of people in our region many years ago. Finally, they joined their teachers aboard The Little Prince’s Ship of Aid, setting off to help save children affected by war. They created a travel map to help the ship stay on course towards support, friendship, and solidarity. The afternoon programme, Our Crafts and Traditions in Komenský Park, once again brought plenty of fun for the whole family, just as in previous years.
