Promotion
The faculty and its individual departments organize many workshops, seminars and events for both, general public and experts. Why? We would like to prove ourselves to be an open institution that seeks the input of our students, not a closed one where learners are limited to passive listening and studying in lecture halls. We are open to the general public in our participation at the events like the Zlín Film Festival or through our summer courses for the Junior University. Put simply, we seek the perfect marriage of theory and practice.
We organize many events in which the main aim is to advertise our degree courses among potential applicants and future students. We participate in the Gaudeamus Fair focused on graduate studies and life-long learning. Besides our bi-annual Open Door Day, we also advertise our degree courses by reaching out to students at secondary schools not only in the country but also abroad, e.g. in Slovakia. During Open Door Days potential applicants and other visitors have an opportunity to meet the faculty teachers, administrative staff and current students from different study programmes, all of whom are ready to answer any question about the specifics of individual study programmes and degree courses. All of you interested in studying at the Faculty of Humanities are welcome! We would love to meet you.
One of the traditional forms of passing on information about activities of the faculty is “H-journal”, an electronic publication that can be found online on the FHS website. Here we present information and stories regarding all the exciting events, lectures, workshops, visits and related activities that have taken place during recent months. “Bulletin FHS” is also distributed to the public in hard copy form, generally at various public events, presentations at secondary schools, fairs and during the Open Door Days.
