A Visit from a Polish University

Thanks to the university’s internal competition “Supporting International Cooperation – Arrivals of Foreign Academic and Scientific Staff or Practitioners at UTB in Zlín,” the Department of School Pedagogy hosted Prof. Anna Odrowaz-Coates, PhD, Vice-Rector for the Development of International Relations at Maria Grzegorzewska University in Poland, from 9 to 11 May 2023.

Her primary areas of academic expertise include education, social inclusion, critical and social pedagogy, and human and children’s rights. During her visit, the Faculty organised expert lectures for students titled “Korczak and his relevance for children’s and human rights nowadays” and “Language and discourse.” Additionally, she held meetings with PhD students from the Faculty of Humanities. The main purpose of Professor Odrowaz-Coates’ visit was to initiate professional discussions about the potential for preparing a joint international research project.
