COIL Project with Spain

The COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) project ran from 28.2.- 4.4.2023 as part of the digital literacy development course.

It focused on collaboration and participation in joint projects by students from the Universidad del País Vasco, Spain The projects were carried out by students of teaching for the first grade of primary school.

The project was designed to promote international cooperation between universities. The aim was to develop a teaching design that explores the pedagogical use of ICT within the framework of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). At the heart of the SDGs are 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which are an urgent challenge for all countries – developed and developing – in the global partnership.

The students were assigned to international teams, with each group of students developing their part of the proposed Sustainable Development Goals. Each team chose its own topic, but each topic focused on a key issue of the chosen SDG area.

During the international collaboration, students demonstrated skills in the following areas: problem solving, collaboration between students, use of available ICT solutions during the development of the SDG topic, pallet, Google classroom, breakout rooms, Google forms,Canva, Scratch content creation, communication skills at international level, explanation of interesting findings in the field of SDG and self-discipline.
