Competence Framework for a University Teacher
17. September 2024A new working group has been established at the Faculty of Humanities at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín, dedicated to developing a competency framework for university lecturers at the faculty.
This group builds upon the national CRP 2023 Quality of Teaching project, which produced a Proposed Competency Framework. The framework is the result of a year-long collaboration involving representatives from twenty-two Czech universities and the National Accreditation Office. It represents a shared vision of quality teaching and pedagogical work in higher education.
Its ambition is to help with the definition and mapping of pedagogical competences and to become a starting point for the creation of tools used to support, develop, and shape the quality of teaching and pedagogical work of university teachers.
In addition to the project, the Faculty of Humanities (FHS) working group has continued to meet informally on a regular basis to address topics such as quality of instruction, communication with students, completion of course cards, setting of course requirements, and the culture of the institution. Meetings are planned for the new academic year and all academic staff are cordially invited to attend.
A big thank you to the members of the FHS working group, which includes:
