Day for Health
9. March 2022On 26 August 2021, the Faculty of Humanities hosted Health Day, an event for the children of UTB employees aged 7 to 15.
The event was organised by the Institute of Health Sciences (ÚZV). The main themes of the event were health protection and promotion, with activities focused on physical exercise, proper posture, eye exercises, intimate health education, and basic first aid. The children reflected on various health-related issues and completed challenging tasks requiring skill, concentration, and creativity. A total of 20 children demonstrated their ability to have fun, collaborate, show mutual tolerance, and help one another. The day concluded with a performance by the children, who showcased proper hygiene habits and hand disinfection to the rhythm of dance.
Although the weather prevented the realisation of all planned outdoor activities in the city park, the children enjoyed a rich programme within the faculty’s premises.
Each activity was recognised, and the children left with smiles, diplomas, and well-deserved gifts. The programme was supported by students from the General Nursing study programme and academic staff from the Institute of Health Sciences at FHS UTB in Zlín.
