Health and Social Care again Part of the Faculty of Humanities´ Studies

For the academic year 2022/23, FHS successfully renewed the accreditation for its Health and Social Care study programme, offered in both full-time and part-time forms.

The Bachelor’s programme in Health and Social Care combines theoretical and practical education in the fields of healthcare and social care. The healthcare component includes knowledge of clinical and preclinical subjects such as anatomy, home care, and geriatrics. The social care component focuses on areas such as law, social policy, and, in particular, social work within the healthcare sector. Students also take courses in the social sciences, including psychology, sociology, philosophy, and ethics. Graduates are well-versed in healthcare and social legislation, equipped to address complex social situations of clients with disabilities, and capable of providing social counselling. They find employment in state and non-state healthcare facilities, long-term care hospitals, infant care centres, hospices, day care centres, public administration, and non-profit, charitable, and educational organisations.

Thanks to the integration of healthcare and social care, clients benefit from comprehensive support that addresses their medical and social needs.
