Member of the Research Centre of FHS Participated in Public Awareness Activities Organised by Za sklem, o. s.

Dr. Magdalena Hanková from the FHS Research Centre accepted an invitation to take part in the International Asperger Syndrome Day, held on 18 February 2025 at the Zlín branch of the organisation Za sklem, o. s. The programme featured not only the presentation of the awareness campaign “Let Us Not Be Indifferent – WARNING SIGNS”, but also a public reading from the book Atypical by British author Pete Wharmby, an opportunity to experience an autism simulator, and an exhibition of paintings by artist Petra Bobalová. Dr. Hanková contributed to the event by participating in a professional panel discussion on the topic “Asperger Syndrome in Education.”

In addition, on 4 April 2025, Dr. Hanková, together with other representatives of FHS TBU in Zlín, took part in the ceremonial opening of the travelling exhibition “I Perceive the World Differently, Yet I Live in It With You”, held at the Museum of South East Moravia in Zlín. This awareness-raising exhibition presents unique personal stories of 28 individuals through portraits and accompanying texts, encouraging visitors to consider whether each portrayed person is “on the spectrum” or not. Created in collaboration with the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of TBU in Zlín, the exhibition aims to foster an open-minded and non-stereotypical attitude towards people with autism.
