As an incoming foreign student you might have some questions you need know the answers to. If there are any questions that we have missed, just contact our coordinator, who will be glad to help you.

Which courses can I take?

You can take any combination of courses we offer in English. See the list here.

Can I add courses from another faculty?

Yes, you can, but it is recommended that the majority of your courses be from the faculty you apply for.

What is the minimum and maximum number of credits per semester?

Students usually take 30 ECTS credits per semester; the minimum amount of credits is 16.

How should I arrange working on my final thesis during the exchange?

Send us your CV and a short introductory letter explaining your previous experience and specialization in the study field. You can also send us your thesis proposal. The Faculty Erasmus Coordinator will try to find the relevant supervisor for you.

How can I apply for a traineeship?

Again, send us your CV and a short letter explaining your previous experience and specialization in the study field and we will try to find the relevant supervisor for you in your chosen area.

What do I need to bring to the science labs?

Don’t forget to bring your lab coat and a pair of clean shoes to change into following the lab, especially if you have classes in microbiology. Otherwise, you can always buy a lab coat in Zlín in a specialized shop called “Pracovní oděvy” (Working Apparel) for about 300 CZK (12 EUR).

When will I know my timetable?

We arrange timetables individually for each exchange student. The Erasmus Coordinator will send your course schedule to you via email before the semester starts. You will also receive this information at the first informative meeting at the faculty.
