Mgr. Jana Vašíková, PhD.
Department of School EducationShe is a graduate of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Preschool Education at Univerzita Palackého v Olomouci. She subsequently completed a Master’s degree programme in Primary Education. She passed her doctoral examination in the field of Preschool and Elementary Education.
Since 2014, she has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of School Pedagogy, Faculty of Humanities, Univerzita Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně. In addition to her academic career, she has practical experience as a primary school teacher.
Her professional focus includes comparative education, curriculum studies, and art education didactics. Her research addresses visual means in education and their influence on the development of cognitive abilities in preschool and early primary school children. In this context, she particularly examines the relationship between the use of visual means and the quality of teaching.
She has broadened her professional experience through academic placements at universities in Spain and Switzerland, as well as through a long-term research stay at a university in Vienna.
