Mgr. Karla Hrbáčková, Ph.D.
Department of Pedagogical SciencesKarla Hrbáčková works as a assistant professor at Faculty of Humanities (FHS), where she guarantees courses in quantitative methodology at the Master’s degree. She is interested predominantly in the matter of self-regulation, autonomy, self-determinated behavior, social relations in the classroom and development of metacognitive thinking in children. She is a main researcher and team leader working on a Czech Science Foundation project Self-Regulation in Socially Excluded Pupils. She is currently actively involved in the preparation of a mindfulness program for children and the use of elements of nonviolent communication for students in helping professions. In her practice she uses her experience of intuitive pedagogy and kinesiology (One Brain ™ approach). She is a PSYCH-K® facilitator.
