About the Education Support Centre
The Education Support Centre strengthens the vital role of the Faculty of Humanities and Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU) in education throughout the Zlín Region by means of its work of creating and maintaining links with regional educational and social institutions. The Centre focuses on close cooperation with secondary, primary and nursery schools as well as with medical and other health facilities. Another task of the Centre is the preparation and implementation of strategic and development projects in the field of education. The Education Support Centre contributes in many ways to the growth and enhancement of education in the Zlín Region and thus greatly advances the fulfilment of TBU Strategic Plan for the period 21+.
Goals of the Centre
- Outside of the University
1. Support for the education of professional communities, including preschool and kindergarten teachers, primary and secondary school teachers, healthcare workers, mentors, university teachers, social pedagogues, caretakers, special educators, school counsellors, school prevention methodologists, etc.
2. Support for lifelong learning through accredited courses.
3. Support programs for children and youth.
4. Support of the project portfolio in the fields of innovation and cooperation with regional institutions at the levels of preparation and implementation of our own or partner projects. - Within the University
5. Support for the preparation and development of accredited study programs.
6. Support for the education of academic staff, including workshops and courses organized for faculty and university staff.
7. Support of the project portfolio of the faculty in the field of innovations at the levels of preparation and implementation.
